Does Insurance cover costs?

Some third-party payers cover all or part of the costs of treatment, while others do not. Often, the cost of new drugs used in the clinical trial will be covered by the sponsor of the trial. It is important that this issue be clarified with the patient's insurer before a patient enters a trial to determine which costs will and will not be covered.
