NCI Press Release: Bevacizumab Combined With Oxaliplatin-Based Chemotherapy Prolongs Survival for Previously Treated Patients With Advanced Colorectal Cancer

Recently, the NCI released preliminary results from the ECOG-led E3200 Phase III Trial of Bevacizumab, Oxaliplatin, 5-FU, and Leucovorin vs. Oxaliplatin, 5-FU and Leucovorin vs. Bevacizumab Alone in Previously Treated Patients with Advanced Colorectal Cancer.

These findings yield a major significance on the scientific community and the patient population. With this information, we can expect survival for people with advanced colorectal cancer to be more than double what it was just a few years ago.
